Ease Application Integration & Realize the Benefits of
Object Storage with the Familiarity of NFS

WOS Access

WOS Access delivers all the scalability, performance, management and TCO benefits of object storage, with the familiarity of NFS and CIFS for easy application integration. WOS Access can synchronize gateways across multiple geographically distributed sites to present a globally accessible single federated namespace up to 23PB in size. Each WOS Access gateway can be HA protected with active/passive failover. Modifications to the local namespace are transmitted to other gateways.

At the same time, modifications at remote gateway namespaces are applied to local namespace. Files written in one location are seamlessly replicated to another using the WOS Object storage replication policies. Replicated files provide data protection, disaster recovery and low latency access by applications in multiple geographically distributed locations enabling a global workflow. Read and write performance can be scaled out across multiple gateways into a single or multiple mount points.

WOS Access features full support for Access Control Lists (ACLs), LDAP, Active Directory, group/user levels, and identity authorization. Authorization is per file/directory. WOS Access NFS features an advanced, intuitive, browser-based graphical user Interface (GUI) for easy setup and management, providing a simplified way to monitor and control status.

WOS Cloud

WOS Cloud lets Service Providers host multiple tenants and allows for individual branding, web addresses and email notifications for each tenant. Multiple billing and subscription revenue models are supported with usage-based reporting for pay-for-use billing models. The features, scalability, performance, low cost and management capabilities of WOS Cloud enable new higher margin, content-based applications and revenue streams for cloud-based service providers.

In addition, WOS Cloud provides a complete, secure, behind the firewall file sharing and sync solution for the customers of service providers. This enables anytime, anywhere access from smartphones, tablets, desktops and laptops with the ability to store and share any kind of data. Collaboration features, including commenting and versioning, are included along with synchronization capabilities from Windows and Macs.

WOS Cloud provides a secure multi-tenancy storage environment with multiple administrative roles, multiple data access roles, and multiple path access roles/methods. The storage environment includes a hierarchy of administrative ownership of stored data. A service provider can perform a variety of management actions on a virtual storage container, including the ability to create and destroy containers, or apply specific policies on behalf of the tenant. Each CDMI object belongs to a single domain, and each domain provides user mapping and accounting information providing the ability to monitor usage by each tenant for billing or other purposes.

WOS automatically replicates data to other nodes in the WOS cloud, based on pre-assigned policies. So, even if a drive fails or an entire WOS node goes off-line, data can be retrieved from the other nodes. Files stored in WOS can also be protected with ObjectAssure™ erasure coding on a single copy, reducing storage requirements. Unlike RAID protected systems, WOS can instantaneously recover from disk failure by accessing another copy of the data. WOS features built-in data integrity and silent data corruption detection and repair. Not only is data better protected, it also requires reduced service response and management urgency, which is a critical advantage in large scale, distributed environments. WOS systems can be managed remotely with zero physical access.

Photos, videos and music can be uploaded to the WOS Share solution be accessed from any other access points around the world. Users simply access the local file directory from the easy-to-use menu, select files and save online.

With the WOS Share Desktop Sync Client, WOS Share appears and acts like a Windows or Macintosh network folder, allowing users to easily drag and drop files in and out of cloud, as they do with any local folder. Files are seamlessly saved and restored from any Windows or MAC based application.
