DDN’s CMO Molly Rector Recognized as 2016 CRN Channel Chief
Rector’s Channel Leadership Fuels Successful Expansion of DDN’s Partner Community and Drives Year-over-Year Reseller Revenue Growth
DataDirect Networks (DDN) today announced that CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Molly Rector, Chief Marketing Officer at DDN, to its list of 2016 Channel Chiefs. Rector was recognized for her leadership in providing new, innovative high performance products and solutions to the channel that drove increased channel sales of Big Data, Solid State Storage, Cloud and Active Archive Solutions. DDN’s strong channel partner solutions and programs have helped catapult DDN to the top ranking storage provider in high performance computing and expanded its presence in Enterprise IT.
During the past 10 years in the storage industry, including the past two years at DDN, Rector has led marketing and product management, distinguishing offerings by developing strong, customer and channel-centric programs and by expanding use cases for innovative technologies that support high performance workflows. Rector’s most recent accomplishments include working collaboratively with customers and channel partners to incorporate customer and market input into the company’s product roadmap; raising DDN’s corporate brand visibility outside traditional HPC markets; expanding DDN’s partner ecosystem; and providing revolutionary products that drive positive customer experience by solving the end-to-end data lifecycle from cache and SSD to high performance file storage and archive.
“DDN’s comprehensive end-to-end data lifecycle management product portfolio enables our users to accelerate time to results, scale simply as data sets continue to grow, and gain a competitive business advantage leveraging data analytics and the cloud,” said Rector. “In 2015 DDN expanded its product line to include more mid-market, channel-friendly appliance-based products such as the GS7K™ and the ES7K™, which provide Enterprise-class feature sets and are ideal for high performance workflows.”
DDN enables its resellers to offer unique products and extensive value-add service offerings. As the enterprise market demand for these types of solutions has grown, DDN responded by introducing the newly refreshed PartnerLink program for its reseller partners.This program includes:
- the new DDN Full Throttle Roadshow – a series of end user events held in conjunction with reseller partners around the world to build trusted advisor relationships, grow the sales pipeline and increase solution awareness;
- multiple new technical and sales training courses exclusively available to its channel partner community;
- augmented channel sales tools for lead generation and to better assist developing opportunities in the early stages of the sales cycle; and
- the addition of a full-time channel manager.
“We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel. We applaud their incredible strides and look forward to following their accomplishments in the coming year.”
Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Each of the 2016 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.
