With Thanksgiving just around the corner, you’re probably starting to gear up for the annual Super Computing event (SC16) on November 13-18, in Salt Palace Convention Center, Utah—but DDN has been prepping for this event for months!

As you plan your agenda for the conference, be sure to include a stop by DDN booth #1931. DDN executives, senior level engineering staff, and industry workflow experts will be showcasing innovations and demonstrating advancements in flash for HPC; Lustre* parallel file system performance and security; open and software-only object storage; and burst-buffer offerings. In addition to these demos, DDN will also highlight its customer use cases with other open and commercial software such as Informatica, SAS GRID, R, and Ab Initio. While you’re at the booth, don’t forget to pick up a copy of our customer and partner expo map to explore the SC16 show floor and see how scientists, researchers, and leading global HPC organizations are leveraging DDN solutions to execute cutting-edge HPC initiatives!

In case you didn’t make it to the DDN User Group, you can still catch exciting user and technologist presentations at the DDN booth. DDN executives and partners are also participating as part of the SC16 Exhibitor Forum, sharing best practices for achieving performance and scale in HPC environments. These include:

  • “Best Practices for Architecting Performance and Capacity in the Burst Buffer Era”
    Exhibit Forum 140s1
Presenter: James McKenna, Director, Commercial Sales Engineering
10:30 am MT, Tuesday, November 15
    Room 155-F
  • “Navigating the Exascale Challenges with High Performance Storage”
    Exhibit Forum 142s1
Presenters: James Coomer, EMEA Technical Director at DDN, and Bret Costelow, Global Director of Sales, Data Center Storage Software at Intel
11 am MT, Thursday, November 17
    Room 155-E

Of course, you’ll need to balance all of that hard work with some fun. Unwind with DDN at The Depot in downtown Salt Lake City’s Union Pacific Train Station on Nov. 15 at the most anticipated event at SC16. We’ve planned a special evening of entertainment, food, and drinks to help you relax after a long day. With champagne poured from the ceiling, your own rolled cigar, a game of darts, and your choice of live music and/or a DJ, you won’t want to miss the HPC event of the year. Admission is by invitation only, so be sure to score your tickets in advance at the DDN booth (#1931).

SC16 provides an excellent opportunity to learn how organizations around the world are leveraging DDN’s people, technology, performance, and innovation to advance their HPC performance, stability, and management features. The DDN team is looking forward to seeing you there!
