Innovation is driven by brilliant minds combining ingenuity and technology to solve problems faster and more accurately than previously conceived possible. Through combining the two, they are solving some of the world’s most challenging problems: from curing diseases to preserving the environment, and unlocking the secrets of life to protecting populations and making transportation safer. The list is never ending. Long since we have been in the industry, our customers have been accelerating scientific insights and business results while pushing the boundaries of discovery. Creatively leveraging technology to take discovery to the next level. Thinking differently. Stepping outside the box. Making the impossible possible.
For these reasons, the DDN Pioneer User Awards were established to celebrate those who are embracing leading-edge high performance computing technologies to shatter long-standing technical limits and to accelerate business results and scientific insights. We are thrilled to be able to recognize the visionary individuals and organization of the 2015 DDN Pioneer User Awards. It was not an easy process—all of the submitted applications were remarkable—but we could only choose three.
- Dr. Alf Wachsmann of Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine
- Steve Furmedge of Public Transport Authority of Western Australia
- HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology
These users are making revolutionary insights within data-intensive HPC and enterprise big data markets by embracing leading-edge technology and innovative best practices.
