Alex Bouzari

CEO, Chairman & Co-founder
Alex BouzariAlex Bouzari is a visionary IT leader with over twenty five years of experience in founding and managing profitable, high growth technology companies. Prior to co-founding DataDirect Networks – which is now the world’s largest, privately held storage company, with over 1,000 customers and 700+ employees in 20 countries – Alex served as CEO of Personal Writer, Inc., and was a co-founder of MegaDrive Systems, Inc.. Alex holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering and Economics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), with graduate studies in Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University.


Paul Bloch

President & Co-founder
Paul BlochPaul Bloch co-founded DataDirect Networks, and brings over twenty five years of experience in starting, growing and successfully managing technology businesses, including serving as the President of DataDirect Networks, Inc, Personal Writer, Inc., and MegaDrive Systems, Inc. Previously, Mr. Bloch enjoyed a successful tenure as a director for Hi-Tech Consulting Group, a European management consulting firm based in the United States. Mr. Bloch graduated with an Engineering degree from National Superior School of Telecommunications (ENST) in France and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).


Molly Rector

Chief Marketing Officer
Molly RectorWith 15 years of experience working in the HPC, Media and Entertainment, and Enterprise IT industries running global marketing programs, Molly Rector serves as DDN’s Chief Marketing Officer responsible for product management and worldwide marketing. Rector’s role includes providing customer and market input into the company’s product roadmap, raising the Corporate brand visibility outside traditional markets, expanding the partner ecosystem and driving the end-to-end customer experience from definition to delivery. Rector is a founding member and currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Active Archive Alliance. She is also the Storage Networking Industry Association’s (SNIA) Vice Chairman of the Board and the Analytics and Big Data committee Vice Chairman. Prior to joining DDN, Rector was responsible for product management and worldwide marketing as CMO at Spectra Logic. During her tenure at Spectra Logic, the company grew revenues consistently by double digits year-over-year, while also maintaining profitability. Rector holds certifications as CommVault Certified System Administrator; Veritas Certified Data Protection Administrator; and Oracle Certified Enterprise DBA: Backup and Recovery. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology and chemistry.


Keith F. Jensen

CAO & SVP Finance Controller
Keith F. JensenKeith Jensen joined DDN in November 2012 and was quickly promoted to Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing Finance, IT and HR. Keith is an experienced and execution-driven executive, with extensive public and private company financial leadership experience. Most recently Keith was Chief Accounting Officer at Sybase from 2006 to November 2012, an enterprise software company acquired by SAP. While at Sybase, Keith also served as Controller for Asia Pacific and CFO as a subsidiary of SAP. From 2000 – 2006, Keith was CFO of Dorado Network Systems, a venture backed software company providing mortgage solutions to the top 50 US Banks. Keith has managed all aspects of back office functions, equity & debt offerings, and integrated numerous acquisitions. Keith began his career as an auditor with PWC, working in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and New York (National) offices.


Jean-Luc Chatelain

EVP, Strategy & Technology
Jean-Luc ChatelainJean-Luc Chatelain joined DDN in February 2011 with several decades of experience as a technology industry leader. Most recently, Chatelain was as a distinguished Hewlett-Packard Fellow responsible for successfully leading HP’s Information Optimization strategy, steering the entry of HP into the ILM space. Chatelain also founded Persist Technologies Inc., a leader in reference information storage software which was acquired by HP. Prior to that, Chatelain co-invented the SmartCell™, the world’s first application-centric enterprise storage technology, and created a breakthrough medical imaging workflow technology for Cemax-Icon, which experienced significant growth as a result of this innovation before being acquired by Imation/Eastman Kodak.


Philippe Ciampossin

SVP, Engineering
Philippe CiampossinPhilippe is a seasoned senior executive in technology management with experience working as the CTO and R&D leader for global IT systems organizations. He has a successful track record of developing engineering organizations and products from the ground up in startup environments as well as in large corporate environments. Most recently, Philippe was the CTO of Hewlett Packard’s Information Management Business Unit, part of HP Software and Solutions. While at HP, Philippe led a department of technologists and business analysts focused on driving the portfolio strategy by offering points of view on industry and technology shifts within a 5-year horizon. Prior to this role, Philippe was the VP and Co-Founder at Persist Technologies (ZANTAZ Spin-off) which was acquired by HP in 2003. While at Persist, Philippe developed enterprise scale archiving solutions to manage reference information for global 5000 companies in a private cloud paradigm. Philippe has a French Graduate Engineering degree with a major in Artificial Intelligence EPITA and a French Undergraduate Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering ESIG.


Edward Rockwell

General Counsel
Edward RockwellEdward Rockwell is General Counsel, responsible for overseeing and coordinating all legal matters for the company. Prior to DDN, Ed was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Hewlett-Packard Company and served as General Counsel for HP Software. Ed joined HP in 2001, and thereafter was promoted to serve in a series of legal roles, including General Counsel for HP’s Americas region supporting all lines of business in the region, and Managing Counsel for the HP Services business worldwide, which included IT and business process outsourcing services, consulting, integration, support and other service offerings. In addition, he spent five years in Milan, Italy, where he served as managing attorney for HP’s Outsourcing Services business in EMEA and later managing counsel for Outsourcing Services worldwide. Prior to HP, Ed worked for Circuit City Stores, Inc. where he provided a wide range of legal support to the Circuit City group of companies. Prior to this, he was a litigator in private practice in Virginia. He began his legal career as a law clerk serving the Supreme Court of Virginia.

John C. Dorman

John C. DormanJohn Dorman served as chairman, president and CEO for online banking services company Digital Insight Corporation. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Financial Services at Oracle, where he was responsible for product development, services and sales to banks and brokerage firms worldwide. Mr. Dorman also served as chairman, CEO and founder of Treasury Services Corporation, and Treasurer of Union Bank of California. In addition to serving on DDN’s Board of Director’s, Dorman also serves as a board member at Online Resources Corporation, Deepdyve and the Yosemite Conservancy. Mr. Dorman received a B.A. from Occidental College and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.


Henry T. DeNero

Henry T. DeNeroHenry T. DeNero is an independent management consultant. From 1999 to 2001 Mr. DeNero was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HomeSpace, Inc., a privately held mortgage and real estate services provider that was sold to LendingTree, Inc. Mr. DeNero was formerly Executive Vice President of FirstData Corporation and Vice-Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Dayton Hudson Corporation (now Target Corporation). Prior to that, Mr. DeNero was a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Company and served as an officer in the US Navy. Currently, Mr. DeNero serves on the Board of Directors of Western Digital Corporation, is a director of THQ, Inc. and chairs the Audit Committees of both companies. Mr. DeNero received a B.A. from Amherst College, and an M.B.A from Stanford.

Roger Biscay

Roger BiscayRoger Biscay is an accomplished financial management leader, currently serving as the Vice President and Treasurer of worldwide networking leader, Cisco Systems. Prior to Cisco, Mr. Biscay held trading and sales positions in the foreign exchange, fixed income and equity markets at Lehman Brothers, Paribas Capital Markets and Royal Bank of Canada.
 
 
 


William (Bill) C. Louv

William (Bill) C. LouvBill Louv is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Glaxo Smith Kline where he has risen through the ranks, since joining the company in 1994 as Vice President of Medical Data Sciences. Prior to joining GSK, Bill held positions of increasing responsibility at Marion Merrell Dow including Vice President of Global Statistics and Clinical Data Management. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, he was an associate professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of Alabama Medical Center. Bill has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the College of William and Mary, and Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Statistics from the University of Florida. Bill has held memberships in a variety of public health and statistical organisations and published articles in over 25 professional journals.


Marc I. Stern

Marc I. SternMarc I. Stern is Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of 40-year old money management firm TCW, a member of the Management Committee of Société Générale Group and Chairman of Société Générale’s Global Investment Management and Services (GIMS) North America unit. Prior to joining TCW in 1990, Mr. Stern held executive positions at SunAmerica, Inc., The Henley Group, Inc. Allied-Signal Inc. and law firm Debevoise & Plimpton.
