DDN at ISC 2025 and GTC Paris: Driving AI and HPC Innovation with Data Intelligence at Scale

DDN took the spotlight at two of the most influential AI and HPC events in Europe this year: ISC 2025 in Hamburg and NVIDIA GTC Paris 2025. With the rollout of Infinia 2.1 and the unveiling of the new AI400X3 appliance, DDN showcased  how its data intelligence platform is solving the dual challenge of extreme performance and infrastructure simplicity for HPC and AI, key themes echoed across both conferences.

The AI400X3 and Infinia 2.1 Set a New Standard at ISC 2025

DDN showcased major news with the launch of the new AI400X3 appliance, which is tightly integrated with NVIDIA Blackwell-powered environments. With massive throughput and peak density, the AI400X3, which runs DDN EXAScaler® software enables:

  • Up to 70% faster writes and 55% faster reads vs. the previous generation DDN AI400X2 appliance
  • Fully integrated with NVIDIA DGX, GB200, Spectrum-X, and BlueField DPUs
  • Secure multi-tenancy with VLANs, tenant-level quotas, and access controls
  • Zero-downtime upgrades and proactive drive failure management
  • Real-time monitoring and EMF API orchestration with Slack and Teams

The AI400X3 is optimized for HPC and AI training workloads that demand burst-ready performance, including checkpointing and model staging.

Additionally, at ISC, DDN announced the latest Infinia 2.1 release, as DDN continues to push the boundaries of AI data infrastructure, helping organizations streamline complex workflows, enhance operational insight, and drive performance across the entire AI data pipeline.

Key updates introduced in Infinia 2.1 include:

  • A new Hadoop Connector that allows direct, high-throughput access to Hadoop and Spark environments using S3-compatible interfaces, removing bottlenecks and enabling faster, more efficient data movement.
  • Broader observability supports built-in integrations for leading monitoring platforms like Datadog, Chronosphere, and OpenTelemetry, giving enterprise teams deeper, real-time visibility into performance and system behavior.

DDN brought unmatched energy to ISC 2025 with a standing-room-only HPC & AI Data Summit and a strong presence across the show floor. Our Data Summit kicked off the event with standing-room-only sessions featuring leaders from DDN, NVIDIA, Google Cloud, and more, diving into the real-world impact of HPC- and AI-powered infrastructure and the future of performance at scale. Attendees got an early look at new technologies like Google Cloud Managed Lustre powered by DDN EXAScaler® as well as deep dives into the latest innovations in intelligent data orchestration, hybrid cloud strategies, and large-scale AI workflows.

Outside the conference center, momentum continued. From our lively “AI & Ale” booth reception to DDN After Dark, our exclusive evening party co-hosted with Eviden, we created space for conversations, community, and celebration. The party filled to capacity early in the evening, drawing an incredible crowd of customers, partners, and friends. We also shared the stage with our partners: presenting live at both the DDN and Google Cloud booths to highlight breakthrough solutions for AI and HPC at scale. Thank you to everyone who joined us, we’re proud to be building what’s next in AI and data infrastructure, together!

A Strategic Alliance Comes to Life at GTC Paris 2025

At GTC Paris, DDN and PNY Technologies Europe & MEA highlighted the expanding collaboration that is supporting enterprise AI across EMEA. The highlight? A DGX system with DDN hardware running side by side in the same rack, delivering a seamless integration story for enterprise AI deployments. This showcase aligned with one of the key GTC Paris themes: accelerating enterprise adoption of AI by simplifying infrastructure and improving data efficiency with NVIDIA’s AI Data Platform.

DDN plays a central role in the NVIDIA AI Data Platform, ensuring that every stage of the AI lifecycle, from ingest and training to inference and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), is tightly integrated and performance-optimized. DDN, with native support for NVIDIA NIMs, NeMo, and GPU-accelerated inference, is already deployed across major DGX infrastructures, helping enterprises minimize data movement and maximize return on their NVIDIA AI investments. This partnership ensures customers get a tightly integrated solution for inference, training, and analytics workflows, with NVIDIA compute and DDN storage engineered to maximize GPU efficiency and minimize infrastructure complexity.

Another defining moment came when DDN President and Co-founder Paul Bloch appeared on video with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and French President Emmanuel Macron. This highlighted DDN’s strategic role not just as a technology provider, but as a key enabler of national and regional AI initiatives in Europe. The video underscored DDN’s commitment to Sovereign AI infrastructure and innovation at scale.

Solving the Enterprise AI Bottleneck

The events underscored a growing industry reality: as AI and HPC scale, data infrastructure, not compute, often becomes the limiting factor. DDN addresses this head-on with its dual-platform strategy:

  • DDN EXAScaler® continues to dominate in high-throughput AI training and HPC environments.
  • DDN Infinia leads in AI inference, analytics, and real-time metadata operations.

Together, they form DDN’s Data Intelligence Platform, designed to eliminate silos, boost GPU utilization, and reduce data movement costs across AI pipelines.

Expanding AI Data Intelligence Across Cloud and Edge

With Infinia 2.1 and the AI400X3 appliance now is GA, and further enhancements rolling out later this year, DDN is set to further expand its foothold in the HPC & AI infrastructure landscapes. Integrations with cloud marketplaces, including  Google Cloud, and NVIDIA cloud providers like Vultr and Scaleway, only strengthens DDN’s reach.

As organizations scale from HPC to AI and from experimentation to enterprise-wide operations, DDN remains at the forefront, fueling the NVIDIA AI Data Platform, powering Sovereign AI initiatives, and delivering unmatched intelligence from edge to cloud. Learn more about how Infinia 2.1 and AI400X3 are redefining what’s possible in AI infrastructure.
